The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a program designed to help foreign workers who have already gained experience in Canada become permanent residents. This program is designed to help those who have already gained experience in Canada to transition to permanent residency.
The CEC program is open to foreign nationals who have worked in Canada for at least one year in a skilled occupation. The applicant must have obtained their work experience in Canada within the three years prior to applying for permanent residence. The applicant must also have a valid work permit and be currently employed in Canada.
In order to be eligible for the CEC program, applicants must meet certain criteria. These include having a minimum of 12 months of full-time work experience in Canada in a skilled occupation, having a valid work permit, and having a language proficiency of at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in either English or French (depending on the NOC of the job experience).
The CEC program is a great opportunity for foreign workers who have already gained experience in Canada to become permanent residents. However, the CEC program is not a fast-track to permanent residency. Applicants must still meet all the requirements of the program and must demonstrate that they have the necessary skills and experience to become successful permanent residents.
