Super Visa
The Super Visa is a special visa category that allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada for an extended period of time. It acts kind of like a visitor visa in a way, but allows the holder to stay in Canada for up to five years upon entry without the need for renewal, and can be valid for up to 10 years. To be eligible for the Super Visa, applicants must meet certain criteria, including having evidence of meeting the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) for at one tax year, medical insurance coverage for a minimum of one year and passing a medical examination, as well as meeting standard immigration requirements such as security and criminal background checks.
