1. Career Planning – Programs that are currently in high demand in Canada

Choosing the right program and planning accordingly will increase your chances of achieving settled status in Canada in the future.

  • Majors:
    • Restaurant Management, Hotel Management
    • Cooks, Bakers, Food Supervisors
    • Nursing, Elderly Care Nurse, Babysitter
    • IT: Web Development, Network Administration, Database Manager, Software Engineer
    • Electrician, Auto mechanic, Plumber, Carpenter, Welder
  • Duration of study:
    • Studying from 2 years to 4 years depending on the program and major that the student chooses.
  • Tuition:
    • Average from 15,000 to 18,000 CAD/year

2. Program Requirement

  • Age:
    • From 18 to 25 is the most ideal
    • Up to 30 years old can still have a smooth process if you have some working experience
    • In actual fact, there is no age limit to apply to study in Canada initially, but need to carefully plan the next steps. Contact us if you are above 30 years of age and wish to participate in this program.
    • After coming to Canada, if the program you are in isn’t what you want, you can change your major.
  • Previous Education Level:
    • Minimum high school graduation
    • English: Not required initially – you can study English when you come to Canada, and then transfer to the program of interest.
    • However, the Study Permit application process is easier and not have to provide a range of documentations to prove your finances and have a good potential to successfully obtain the Study Permit, if you can obtain an English level of CLB 7, or IELTS 6.0 Academic in all bands).
  • Demonstration Financial Ability:
    • Obtaining the Study Permit
    • It is important to prove clear financial, clear purpose of going to school and ties in your home country for returning after your study
    • So depending on the family’s financial conditions and academic ability, the best approach is to choose the corresponding major to convince the Canadian government to issue the Study Permit.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Be in good health
    • Never been deported or have records of illegal stay in Canada or other countries.

5. Application Process

  2. Apply for a Student Visa – Study Permit Canada (about 2 months) includes: proof of finance, transcripts of high school transcripts, English IELTS 6.0 (if any)
  3. Get Study Permit, fly to Canada to study 2-4 years
  4. Get Work Permit after graduation + Find employment: If needed, we can assist students in finding employment after graduation.
  5. Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence through Express Entry or through the Provincial Program.

 

Other Things to Note:

1. Restaurant, Hotel & Cook-Baker Manager:

  • Currently, the competition is low, getting a job after graduation is quite easy, the chances of immigrating to Canada are very high. The partner has a wide network of employers in Canada, will support to find jobs for students after graduation.
  • The following industries are prioritized in the provincial immigration programs, but must work in the right occupation after graduation (very competitive). Need high grades and good English to have the opportunity to work in:
    • Nursing, nursing home care, babysitting
    • Early childhood educator
    • IT: Network, Database, Software engineer, etc.
    • Electrician, auto mechanic, plumber , carpenter, welder

2. If your main goal is to find an opportunity to immigrate to Canada after graduation instead of getting a university degree, you can choose a 2-year apprenticeship program instead of studying a 4-year degree program. You will pay less in tuition fees, and together with 3 year Open Work Permit after graduation, you can immigrate to Canada faster. Once you get your PR status/card, you can choose to study/work/invest/run a business, or do anything you want, as a local person.
